At a Glance

In the last several years, PXG has seen a remarkable change from a status symbol brand to a legitimate competitor to the likes of Callaway and TaylorMade. Now that you have our attention, PXG, can you satisfy us? The PXG 0811 X GEN4 Driver not only delivers the performance, but it also destroys!
One of the three drivers that make up the 0811 GEN4 series is the PXG 0811 X GEN4. In addition, there are the 0811 XF Gen4 and 0811 XT Gen4 for Tour Players, with the latter having a smaller head and providing greater forgiveness.
Because it is a more current model than the prototype, PXG has incorporated input from the prototype driver into the weight port design of the 0811 Gen4 driver.
With its weight port design, PXG can manage launch and spin, enabling the player to adjust the bias toward fade or draw.
We are seeking for a driver with a hybrid crown construction, an adjustable weight system, and a dampening insert for best sound and feel.

Technology Used
A multitude of innovations were included into the 0811 X Gen4 drivers in order to make them top performers.
The Hybrid Crown is an excellent starting point.
Titanium is used in the heel and toe of the 0811 X Gen4 Drivers' hybrid crown, making it very durable and rigid for increased spring and ball speed. Due to the fact that it reduces weight and boosts MOI, the carbon fiber core enables you to lower the center of gravity of your club and get the finest possible ball flight.
To further enhance ball flight, the Carbon fiber core reduces and repositions weight in the clubhead.

High-Speed Face Technology is an additional feature of this item. The driver's high-speed face can resist significant face deflection and spring thanks to the Ti412 titanium alloy's strong yield strength and low elastic modulus. This allows for ultra-fast ball speeds.
In contrast, the honeycomb TPE insert raises it to a new level. They also employed a high-performance vibration-damping polymer to improve the club's sound and playability. It is located in the sole of the clubhead and assists to balance the weight distribution.
Three-Weight System
Three weight ports are provided by the 0811 X GEN4 driver's streamlined weight system. This driver is tailored to a certain sort of player, the weights' functioning is the same.
A higher ball speed, lower launch, lesser spin and a more even trajectory may be expected when the front weight is the heaviest.
It seems sense that launch and spin would be better when the most weight is concentrated at the rear. When you miss the sweet spot, you'll be able to retain more of the ball's speed.
MOI will be lower with the hefty weight at the heel position, but the draw bias should aid players who struggle with a slice or often make heel-side contact.
PXG has made a concerted effort to streamline and standardize its weight system, which was formerly among the most convoluted in the world. The weights of the 0811 X GEN4 driver and PXG's putter range are the same. There are a variety of ways for fitters to adjust weight and trajectory, as well as to mix and match weights to achieve the ideal head weight for a particular application.

While there are no hard and fast rules, PXG is focusing on head weight as part of its fitting methods and allowing players to experiment with various head weights to discover if anything works.
Individual head weights can be anywhere between 2 and 20 grams, for a total range of 194 to 248 grams. PXG's fitters can easily operate within the 195- to 210-gram range, which is not to say that a 248-gram driver head is practical or even reasonable.
PXG, however, understands that not everyone will be able to get fitted, and it encourages everyone to do so. As a result, the standard construction length has been raised to 45.5 inches in order to maintain pace with the market. Consequently, the standard head weight is less than in prior versions
Looks
Like the crown, the PXG 0811 X Gen4 driver has a divisive design. The silver finish in the centre of the two-tone crown adds a nice touch, although others may find it distracting.
Personally, I found it to be a useful alignment assistance. In addition to providing a unique aesthetic, the flat black finish on both sides decreases glare.
In comparison, the O811X GEN4 Drivers include AV (Aluminum Vapo Carbon) fiber Technology and a small bit of Titanium, both of which make the Crown somewhat stiffer and hence slightly more stable and forgiving.
A taller face enables PXG to place the CG in such a manner that reduces spin to achieve the lowest spin in the lineup.
It's hard to deny that the 0811 X Gen4 driver is one of the most visually stunning clubhead designs in golf. This is a sensual looking driver because of the combination of the classic form and the unconventional patterns. Instead of relying on the same old color schemes year after year, PXG has more flair than OEMs since they don't veer beyond black, white, and gray.
Sound and Feel
Regarding the overall sound and feel, you will discover that they fall short of your expectations. The sound and feel of the driver are characterized by a harsh metallic quality.
A crushed ball or a flexing face cannot be felt, yet you are aware that they are happening.
Despite this, it is desired for there to be little flexibility. The honeycomb infill not only reduces vibration but also makes each stroke feel better. After each blow, I anxiously anticipated the next one.
Stock Info
PXG is all about personalization and making sure that your clubs are tailored to your specific needs. However, they have THOUSANDS of different shafts to choose from. Although some of them cost extra, there are several excellent standard shafts to choose from.
Senior to extra-tight flexes are available in Mitsubishi Tensei Raw Blue. In addition, shaft manufacturer Aldila offers their Rogue Elite range of Gen4 0811X shafts as stock options. To summarize, if you're looking for it, PXG has it!
Performance
BABY! "KABOOM BABY!" As advertised, PXG's 0811 X Gen4 driver is a monster! I was pleasantly delighted by the overall performance of this driver.
The dispersion on off-center hits is the most amazing feature. One of the tightest clubs I've ever tried or rated, even when compared to the best drivers from Callaway, Titleist, and TaylorMade.
Another surprise was the distance offered from off-center shots. This driver has the potential to be the most lenient available. This driver is a real killer once you find your optimal weight arrangement.
RELATED: Best Golf Balls for Distance
Face stiffness is much higher than that of competing products. Some may find the lack of a compressed ball unappealing, however considering the high level of distance and dispersion, this is easily overlooked.
The club as a whole is powerful, if not rigid, but once again, the end result is amazing! Being able to alter the loft by a half degree actually provides you the opportunity to achieve that precise fly path you are searching for.
Despite the club's ease of use, it almost seems like it has to be reined down. When it comes to finding the perfect launch, changing the loft by half a degree might be helpful.
The 0811X is one of the most flexible "forgiving" drivers, thanks to its adjustable settings. After several drills, I finally had decent control over my shot formation.
As a matter of fact, hitting the screws on the face is both satisfying in terms of the sensation and the result. Consistently, the 0811X outpaced its competitors. PXG has figured out how to maximize a driver's potential.
Price Point
PXG 0811 X GEN4 Driver is offered at a good price with great playability and performance.

Q. What distinguishes the PXG GEN4 drivers?
The PXG Gen4 drivers diverge most noticeably from their forerunners in the following ways:
When it comes to PXG drivers, the PXG Gen4 0811 X is the entry-level spin driver. To be used by mid to low handicap golfers who have a pretty high swing speed and don't require additional aid releasing the ball into the air.
Gen4 0811 XF, the biggest head and most forgiving driver from PXG, is the "Xtreme Forgiveness" version of the Gen4 0811. Having a more forgiving head allows for greater distance and control on shots that aren't exactly in the sweet spot.
The PXG Gen4 0811 XT is the most aerodynamic driver in the series, thanks to its tiny and aerodynamic head. If you can consistently hit the ball in the middle of the face, you'll get greater distance from this club.

Final Thoughts about PXG 0811 X Gen 4 Driver
The 0811X Gen 4 Driver, developed by PXG with all their R&D resources, is a technological wonder. Ability can be adjusted for awhile; towering and deep face; top-of-the-line performance parameters
The 0811X is a great club for lower-handicap players, but those with a handicap in the teens and twenties will have a hard time justifying why they shouldn't be using it.
In my opinion, PXG goods have the most preconceptions than any other brand, yet they consistently deliver.
I think this latest model (Gen 4) of the 0811X is the greatest so far, and it stands up to the larger manufacturers.
Alternatives to Consider
TaylorMade Stealth Plus Driver
Set it up correctly, and you'll have a driver that's almost unstoppable! The Stealth's ability to swing quickly and get the ball in the air is essential, as is precise adjustment. This driver was able to locate its sweet spot after adjusting for loft or a greater spin/launch shaft. Those who aren't afraid to play around with things should give this a shot. You'll attempt to hit too many greens in a row, so buyer beware.
Callaway Rogue ST Max LS Driver
In need of a low-spin driver? Give this a go. Max metrics, such as ball speed and swing speed, are often used by consumers to determine which driver is best.
When everything is taken into account, this driver is the clear winner in my book. In addition to her versatility and beauty in the purse, her statistics are in sync. The sooner you do this, the better.
