The Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver is a beast of a club that packs all the punch you could want from a big dog without sacrificing any of the performance or control you need from your driver. A driver with a small footprint, minimal spin, and lots of playability, this marvel of precise engineering is ideal for the intermediate to advanced golfer.

As with the rest of Callaway's Triple Diamond driver lineup, the LS was created with professional golfers in mind and is not the ideal option for amateurs. You won't find a better deal than the LS if you're an intermediate player on the market for new gear.

The LS is the go-to club for PGA pros on the tee. The likes of Jon Rahm, a top professional, rely on it as their primary tool. Phil Mickelson's PGA Championship and US Open victories all came with the LS by his side. Xander Schauffele and other Olympians depend on the LS to help them win gold.

Exactly how well does the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS play off the tee, you ask? Is it a viable alternative to the Rogue ST MAX LS for players with rapid swing speeds? Read on to find out ...

Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS Driver Review

Technology Used

The much anticipated release of Callaway's Triple Diamond line of drivers has arrived. Golfers all around the world have been anticipating its release, and the club's features and playability do not disappoint.

Callaway chose to debut the Rogue ST with the Triple Diamond LS driver, the most advanced and professional option within the Triple Diamond lineup, rather of the more forgiving Max, Max D, or Max LS.

As befits a club with Tour pedigree, the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS Driver has a precise 450cc head, a neutral-to-fade bias, and the lowest spin rate of any driver on the market. Callaway's driver has a 20-gram "Tungsten Speed Cartridge" that represents a departure from the company's traditional design philosophy.

Because the cartridge is housed in the club's sole, the MOI is moved to the lower and deeper regions of the club head. Callaway also releases the "Jailbreak," an artificial intelligence-designed speed frame that integrates the sole and crown. As a consequence, the toe and heel of the driver are better able to withstand torsional forces, allowing for greater ball speed and a more powerful swing.

The titanium Unibody-Construction of the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS Driver helps to decrease the driver's center of gravity and increase swing stability. The triaxial carbon crown reduces the club's overall mass while also moving the sweet spot and impact area to provide more forgiveness and greater driving distance.

The 450cc club head of the new Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver offers a compact profile while yet maintaining Tour-proven design characteristics and principles for superior playability.

Looks

Compared to the other Rogue ST drivers, the Triple Diamond LS version of the Rogue ST driver doesn't seem to have anything special going for it. That same thin strip of gold adorns the fading crown's trailing edge, which is matte black carbon fiber.

Near the heel, the sole has a golden Tungsten Speed Cartridge. Upon closer inspection, you'll see a weight has been added to the face, right in the middle of the sole.

The Triple Diamond LS is noticeably smaller than competing versions. The Triple Diamond LS stands alone and seems tiny but not frighteningly so. When compared to the Rogue ST Max LS, its paltry 10-cc reduction comes as somewhat of a surprise.

It is easy to see that the Triple Diamond LS is shorter in the rear than in the front. The lower part of the face is narrower and the top part is higher. To put it simply, this is the driver that better players will want to use.

Sound and Feel

The sound and feel of the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver are very identical to those of the Rogue ST MAX. The LS, on the other hand, feels more substantial in your grip and provides a more natural sensation of balance.

At first, the LS may remind you of a fairway wood if you're accustomed to playing with a larger clubhead. Depending on your tastes, you'll either adore it or despise it. When you make solid contact with the ball, you'll hear a medium-pitched pop that's less loud than the MAX version.

You'll get the tactile and auditory feedback you need before, during, and after each shot. If you don't reach the sweet spot, the ball will sound and feel a little less tight in your hands.

Performance

The compact size and high degree of forgiveness on the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver exceeded my highest hopes.

The Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS has the lowest spin rate of any Callaway model, the company says. And they claim it launches even higher than the Rogue ST Max LS! The Triple Diamond LS had a somewhat weaker launch and less spin than the Max LS in my experience. Neither variation was very large, but when combined, they made for a deeper ball flight. Maintaining physical fitness is always the first step in identifying your finest driver.

The Triple Diamond LS's 20-gram Tungsten Speed Cartridge is the lightest of the four Rogue ST drivers. The savings are invested in an adjustable, spherical weight located near the face, which improves the center of gravity but sacrifices some forgiveness. The Triple Diamond LS performs a great job of preventing ball speed loss on mishits, especially for a smaller, Tour-style head. However, it was evident from my tests on the Foresight GCQuad that this particular Rogue ST driver is not as lenient as the others.

Finally, I'd like to mention that, in comparison to the other Rogue STs, this driver seemed more manageable. The Triple Diamond LS may be described as either "Neutral" or "Neutral-Fade" depending on the context in which you see it. There is no question that this was the simplest Rogue ST for me to fade. But I'm willing to admit that the decreased head size may be having a placebo effect. The outcomes were undeniable any way. Anyone looking to improve their tee shots should give this driver a go.

The Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver is the next big dog on the range and the course if you're wanting to improve your driving. The resulting form is small and compact, with a neutral-to-fading bias and slow spin speeds.

With one of the lowest spin rates in the market, the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver provides you with a lot of launch and a lot of carry distance. It's an expensive model, but as you take your first swing, you'll see exactly where your cash was well spent.

Alternatives to Consider

Callaway Golf Rogue ST Max LS Driver

High moment of inertia (MOI) design of the Rogue ST Max LS ensures less spin and a more accurate shot. When compared to the Rogue ST MAX, players may anticipate a more neutral ball flight, more workability, and less spin. Many golfers with a handicap of three or four strokes or less may find this to be an excellent choice.

PXG 2021 0211 Driver

A word like "value" may have some unfavorable connotations, but that is not the case here. If you're looking for a driver, go no further than the PXG 0211. You can get your hands on this high-performing driver at a price that's much below the market average.

The new 0211 driver is a major advancement in rectifying this situation. Its performance is comparable to that of all the top brands but its pricing is far lower than most of its rivals.
